A not necessarily thrilling career path, with many twists and turns. My first career was as a technician/administrator, then I started studying again at the age of 30 and became an IT Security Officer almost ‘by chance’ (or at least much sooner than I had hoped).
I’ve moved back and forth between the public and private sectors, getting my feet stuck in the carpet, sometimes losing life points… before getting them back. And one constant: I’ve always met good people and been able to count on them. 🙏
The idea of being able to say to myself ‘OK, I’m helping to build or implement something’. It’s never perfect, it’s all about compromise.
You need endurance to take on a leadership role and lead it against the wind (and sometimes the tide).
But you prioritise, you move forward, you make progress, you eliminate the problems 💪 (and you unpack the list of the following 87568232 😅).
💥Boum! by Trenet.
There’s not much in French chanson, even less from that era than those under twenty… thirty… that people don’t know any more. 😆
What’s the link with cyber?
The virtual boom of the detonation of the malicious charge, the boom that the heart makes (sometimes) when it sees a serious problem… and the fact that it’s the background music when we discover Silva, the bad guy in Skyfall, who is nothing more or less than a classy hacker (and without a hoodie 😎).
And finally, the light-hearted tone of the song is a good contrast to the importance of cyber. It’s a reminder that in a serious field, you have to be serious but not necessarily take yourself too seriously.
